The slim fast diet is based on having meal replacements for breakfast and lunch and eating a normal well-balanced dinner each day.

The meal replacements, sort of like shakes, are available at many retail stores and come in many different flavors. The simple daily plan involves no calorie-counting and helps prevent cravings by encouraging you to eat up to six times a day.
