How to Lose Weight Without Spending Money
How much is your weight loss program costing you every month? If you weren't paying for a program, do you think you could lose weight?
The weight loss industry is a billion dollar market packed with lose weight and diet programs. It is such a large market because pretty much everyone needs to lose weight. As we age, our metabolism slows down and we naturally gain weight - all other things being equal.
If you need to lose some weight and you really believe that a diet plan or program will work for you --then you should go ahead and do it. Sometimes the weight loss game is a mental one where you have to basically trick yourself into cutting back and making efforts to lose weight.
But really, it isn't necessary to pay any money to lose weight. After all, you didn't have to pay to gain weight, did you? Well maybe-- if you bought a lot of food.......
There are several things that you can do on your own to lose weight- no money required. The only requirement is that you be motivated.
1. Imagine yourself thin. Picture yourself wearing those jeans you haven't worn in years, or buying new smaller sized clothing. The mind is a very strong tool to getting things done.
2. Start cutting calories here and there. Shoot for 400-500 calorie meals 3 to 4 times per day. Optimally, 4 times a day is the best since you will be eating throughout the day- not allowing yourself to get totally starving and cave in to high calorie snacks and large portion meals.
3. Always eat something small for breakfast. Many people just have coffee for breakfast. Eating first thing in the morning really is a great way to lose weight. If you don't regularly eat anything, try something really light, such as a granola bar or 1 boiled egg.
4. Start a food journal. There is something about writing down what you eat that brings you into reality about what you eat every day. Be sure to record any snacks or nibbles throughout the day. There are many calorie charts online that can help you with listing the calories in foods that you eat.
5. Get plenty of sleep. Lack of sleep leads to extra eating- no kidding.
6. Take it one day at a time. Don't freak out if you blew your diet yesterday. Today is a new day- get going.
7. Take a walk. Exercise will help to jumpstart your weight loss efforts. If you are not an avid exercise person- just get up and walk around the block or do 20 jumping jacks. Every little bit helps.
In short you really can lose weight without spending any money.
Get motivated, get moving and get thin!!
