Easiest ways to lose weightEasiest Ways to Lose Weight

4 Steps to Follow for Maximum Results

Step 1: Cut Calories

It is no secret that the amount of calories you intake minus the calories you burn has everything to do with weight loss. The more calories you intake and less calories you burn- you are not going to lose any weight. In fact, you will probably gain it.

Being overweight is an epidemic in today's society. It is evident in the increasing occurence of weight related diseases such as type 2 diabetes and heart disease. As a society we have become sedentary, over-eaters.

Just take a spin through any fast-food restaurant and you will quickly see a trend in increased portion sizes, fat content and calories.

3 Ways to Start Cutting Calories

1. Cut portion sizes. Instead of eating your normal amount of food, reduce it to 2/3 or even 1/2 portion. You will be cutting your calories, yet still eating at least half of your normal intake.

2. Spread your daily calorie intake across 4-5 smaller meals. The more frequent meals will keep you energized throughout the day and help keep you less focused on food.

3. Change what you eat to less-calorie versions of similar food. Instead of eating that piece of key lime pie- have a fruit juice popsicle. I know it's not the same- but you still can have a sweet treat without all those calories.

In short, when you begin to cut calories, it is important to re-train your mind to think the way of a low calorie eater. Depriving yourself of wanted treats and foods will only make you want them even more. For example, if you go to the movies and just have to have popcorn (you don't want to know how many calories...) order just a small bag of popcorn-not the usual huge tub that you feel guilty not eating since you paid like $25 for it.

Step 2 : It's all about the little things....
