Day 2
6 Week Diet and Fitness Program
Day 2 started off the same as day 1, with 2 cups of coffee
and a mid-morning bowl of oatmeal with 2% milk. I also had a bowl of
watermelon. After yesterday's non-exercise day, I tried
to figure out a way to add in some exercise to my day
without the dreaded , "I have to go work out now" part.
So, I decided that every time I went into the kitchen, I
would do 10 pushups. Typically I prepare my oatmeal and then bring it
into the office to eat. This required two trips to the kitchen (and 20
push ups). So, I think I will be eating my meals in the kitchen from
now on!
Also, I changed my rules so that I only do push-ups if I am
getting something to eat. I.e. if I am refilling my water glass---no
push-ups. Total calorie intake was 1392, including a small
piece of apple pie. Below is a summary of the food calories:
2 cups coffee w/creamer 50 Oatmeal w/2% milk 260
Cereal w/2% milk 250 Broiled chicken breast: 350
1/2 cucumber 15 Salad 0 Dressing 60
Tomatoes 20 Apple pie/ice cream 350
Watermelon 37 Total 1392 Fitness part of
program Since it was July 4'th, I did not do any exercise,
except for the push-ups every time I went into the kitchen. Maybe
tomorrow the exercise part will happen!! |

Fruit and vegetables are great things to eat when you are dieting!
Lots of vitamins, nutrients and NOT a lot of calories.
